It’s time to merge what you love with an actual salary! This requires stepping out of your comfort zone, defining your artistic voice, and

understanding the worth of your unique skill set. We will discuss the steps to figuring

your cost of doing business, as well as an honest look at the time it takes to create the finished products you’d like your clients to have. This will lay the foundations for finding, marketing, and selling the products that match up with your core values and photographic passions so that you can start making a Real Profit from Your Passion!

Jessi Norvell is a Certified Professional Photographer based out of the small community of Panhandle, Texas. As a professional teacher and speaker, Jessi has been sharing everything she knows about business from the moment she found anything that worked. Now a successful full time professional photographer and entrepreneur, Jessi is able to contribute to her family financially with not only a salary, but also with two retirement funds and two college funds for her children. Jessi provides professional photographers (and beginning entrepreneurs) with the steps to develop their business, believe in the value of their artistry, grow their sales, and find profit in their passion to support themselves and their families.

"Inside the Oval Office: An Intimate Evening with President George W. Bush's White House Photographer"

Experience some of the most pivotal events in recent times through the lens of President George W Bush’s Official White House Photographer. Visual historian, Eric Draper, had unfettered access to every moment of the presidency—public and private—and you are invited to share an evening of coffee, dessert and conversation with him.  From 9-11 to Christmas dinner at Camp David, Eric silently observed it all.  Now, he is ready to lift the curtain for you and share images and stories from his eight years in the White House.

Laugh, cry and feel inspired during this unique event where every moment of the Presidency and the history of eight years is revealed.  Those years were nothing short of intriguing.  Regardless of your political affiliation, an evening with a White House Photographer is not something quickly forgotten.

Act quickly, we don’t want you to miss out on this incredible experience. This event is being offered to the public.  Only 32 tables are available.

    Ticket options:

Gold Level—Premium location table of 8 with 8 VIP reception tickets and 4 autographed “Front Row” coffee table books  $1,000  (member price $800)

Silver Level—Reserved table of 8  with 2 VIP reception tickets and 1 autographed “Front Row” coffee table book $500 (member price $450)

Open seating tickets are $55 each or a pair for $90 with a member price $45/75.
A desert and coffee bar is included with your ticket and a cash bar will also be available.

The  evening  will equally feature all West Texas Photographers (SPPPA) members through visual displays as well as print. The idea is to help educate the community on the importance of professional photography as well as raising funds for our Texas School of Professional Photography Scholarships.  Eric is bringing several unique prints autographed by Mr. Draper and the President which will be auctioned off as well.

Eric Draper served as President Bush’s chief photographer for the entire eight years of his presidency, photographing him daily in his activities at the office, abroad and in his personal life. Draper was named Special Assistant to the President, and is the first White House photographer to be named a commissioned officer to a U.S. president. Also during his tenure, Draper directed the photographic and archival conversion of the White House Photo Office from film to digital and took nearly 1 million photos documenting the presidency.

Prior to joining the White House, Draper was West Regional Enterprise Photographer for the Associated Press. In eight years with the AP, Draper covered an array of domestic and international news and sports. Draper has also worked as a staff photographer for The Seattle Times, the Pasadena Star-News and the Albuquerque Tribune.

Draper is currently a freelance political, corporate, and editorial photographer based in Rio Rancho, New Mexico where he lives with his wife and two dogs. His clients include HP, the Mayo Clinic, the George W. Bush Institute, the Heritage Foundation, the New York Times, the Washington Post, Reuters, Getty Images and individual clients, including many happy brides and grooms. He is an obsessive LA Laker fan.
